Keller was settled in the early 1850s when the news broke that the Texas Pacific Railroad would be extended north Fort Worth. The town, named for John C. Keller, a railroad foreman, became a stop on the Texas Pacific line. Keller was incorporated in 1955, and despite its growth has been hailed as among the safest towns in the country. In addition to its public safety and excellent schools, Keller boasts many beautiful parks and trails for nature lovers, plus athletic fields. And, its vibrant public art program is a joy for the art lover. This award-winning city has garnered no less than 38 awards in 2017.
